By creating an account or using Paretoify ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We use Supabase for authentication. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Accounts are non-transferable.
Subscriptions. Paretoify offers Free, Pro ($24.99/mo), and Premium ($39.99/mo) subscription tiers. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
PBucks. PBucks are a virtual in-app currency. They have no monetary value outside the Service, cannot be transferred or sold, and never expire. We reserve the right to modify PBucks earning rates and costs at any time. PBucks are non-refundable once credited to your account.
Refunds. Subscription charges are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@paretoify.com within 14 days of the charge.
Price changes. We will give at least 30 days notice before changing subscription pricing for existing subscribers.
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate mnemonics, images, audio, and educational content. This content is generated for your personal use only. All AI-generated content produced by the Service is owned by Paretoify or licensed to us. You may not redistribute, resell, or claim ownership of AI-generated content. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated translations or educational material.
The Service uses LiveKit for real-time voice sessions and Deepgram for speech-to-text transcription. By using voice features, you consent to your voice being processed for transcription purposes. Voice audio is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored. Transcriptions may be temporarily stored as semantic memories to improve your learning experience (see our Privacy Policy). You may request deletion of your semantic memories at any time by contacting us.
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the Service; abuse AI systems to generate harmful or illegal content; create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits; share account credentials; or interfere with the Service's infrastructure.
Paretoify, its logo, and all original platform content are owned by Paretoify. The Pareto word lists are derived from publicly available corpus data. Your personal learning data (vocabulary progress, SRS scores) belongs to you. You grant us a limited license to process your data to provide the Service.
We provide the Service on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your subscription ends and your data may be deleted after a 30-day retention period.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paretoify is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not responsible for outcomes related to language learning (job applications, exams, etc.).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paretoify from claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas. If you are an EU resident, you retain any mandatory consumer protections under EU law.
